Scenic Tours start at the small fishing village where the Saco River and the Ocean meet. This area is known as Camp Ellis and it is in the town of Saco Maine. The Trina Lyn is strictly a private charter boat. Therefore there is no pre-planned agenda or schedule of events that we must see or do. All the choices are for you to make. When you book your reservation feel free to ask Captain Todd for suggestions and ideas on where we should go. North? East? South? West? A little of everything? The choice is yours.
Some idea’s include just a slow comfortable trip up the beautiful Saco River, then maybe cut over towards Biddeford Pool and Wood Island Lighthouse. Or we could travel to the South West towards Walkers Point or even into the Kennebunk River for a slow ride up into picturesque Kennebunkport Village. Hungry? There are plenty of dockside restaurants offering a wide variety of meals, they just might have a lobster or two??? Perhaps you wish to head towards Cape Elizabeth and on into Casco Bay. Once we get past the beautiful sandy beaches of Saco, Old Orchard Beach, and Scarboro it is back to the rugged rocky shorelines. There is some really nice scenery along the entire way including several multi-million dollar mansions as well as private islands with nothing but birds as residents. If we do go as far as Portland Harbor there are many more great restaurants as well as a spectacular shopping district called “The Old Port”. There are several quaint shops and little cafe’s throughout the Old Port all within walking distance of the boat dock. Thankfully, you will not find a Wal-Mart, a Target, Kohls, or any other type of huge box store in the Old Port.
